Longer hitters need to be sure to club themselves correctly from the tee. The trees, fairway bunkers, burn and oak tree must all be considered. Aim for the left middle of the fairway on your tee shot to open up the green. If you are going for the right side to attack a rear left pin be sure to leave yourself enough room to get your approach over the large oak tree.
What looks like a simple straightforward hole from the tee is far from it. Two fairway bunkers on the left, sets of trees on both sides of the fairway, a green protected by a large Oak tree on the right and a burn running across the narrow approach all make for a challenging hole. The green is guarded by bunkers left and right.
